When I was visiting bookbinder Lena Hällzon (see previous post) I was inspired to make paste paper.
I have never previously seen pretty paste papers - they have been very dull. BUT when I saw Lena's paper, I realized that it is actually possible to make amazing paste papers.
I have done some testing - I have to practice, practice and practice for right now they are pretty childish daubs.
Paste paper are made by home made paste (water and flour) with pigment that you smear out on the paper, and you make marks in the paste and let it dry.
